Fear itself has its right place in our psychology, biology and physiology. Who has not heard about our natural "fight, flight or freeze" reactions to our surroundings?
I want to bring your awareness to the different kind of fears – those that are artificially caused and intentionally used. You may have felt them, you may have them, you may suffer from them and yet not know why or what to do about them.
A long time ago, when my awareness about artificial fears was raised enough to start healing, I learned that I was the one who really has full control over my fears and how they affect me.
In shock of that discovery, my first reaction was "no way!!!!" - Isn't that something I was destined to? Don't you see all those bad things happening and all those bad people just waiting to harm you? All kinds of enemies that are here to destroy us, don't you know? - From monsters under the bed, the boogieman, gangs, terrorists, to meteors and aliens .... you name it.
Don't take me wrong - I have no intention of forcing rose-colored glasses on you. Rather, I want you to think how fear is used on, and upon you, even by your own self, to prevent you from rocking the boat and to make you behave in a certain way.
One example I want to use is the fear of failure, one we all, unfortunately, know too well. When we are in our unaware mode or so to speak on our automatic pilot, we do anything possible to avoid the situation where we may end up as a failure or, better said, by others or by ourselves being perceived as failure.
Why? The answer is found in our human nature - one of a human’s deepest needs is the need to be loved and to belong. And that need to belong makes us too often lower or even completely give up our own power to others in order not to disappoint them, not to loose their love - think parents, teachers, bosses, etc. Think of things you wanted to do that you know you could, but stopped yourself because they would not like or approve it. How many examples can you think of?
When you are aware of them, you are able to claim power over your fear thoughts, and when you claim power over them, you are ready to heal them. How would your life be different if you wouldn't fear? What would you be? Do? Have?
What is your biggest fear? How do you cope? What fears did you heal already. Of course, I have a millions of questions, but...
The million-dollar question is: Will you conquer fear and heal, or stay in the fear energy and be scared for the rest of your life?
When you are ready to confront your fears, the right actions and people will show up. Take a leap in faith and see how you too can heal your fears. If you'd like my help in it, you can easily find me at LeapIntoResults.com
